Do you offer a backlit keypad? Our primary goal is to ensure that you can open your vault when it is needed most. If the batteries run low, the vault may not open with the keypad. To ensure the longest possible battery life and minimize the chances of a low battery situation, we chose not to power a light in the keypad. Most customers will get 3-4 years out of batteries for in-home use and that will, of course, vary greatly based on the number of times the lock is activated. If the concern is the ability to see the keypad in the dark, we feel that the best solution is a separate light source not connected to the lock mechanism. There are a variety of magnetic safe lights available. We recommend a low profile light that can be placed on the face of the vault to illuminate the key pad and also be moved to the interior to see the contents of the vault like this one https://tinyurl.com/5n7ma92u and is private labeled for several companies. It casts a red glow that provides enough light to see what is needed without interfering with your night vision.
